PHILANTHROPIES

Along with our commitment to help each other become better individuals, the Delta Chi Fraternity is proud to make the community we live in a better place. The brothers of Delta Chi have assisted philanthropic efforts in and around Yolo county by volunteering at Charity Runs: Davis Turkey Trot, Strides Against Breast Cancer, Diabetes Walk, and Relay for Life, helping to construct homes for Habitat for Humanity, and sorting books for needy children.
As we grow and mature as a fraternity, our philanthropic efforts become even more ambitious and effective.

The Toys for Tots toy drive, which strives to incorporate fraternities and sororities from the entire UC Davis Greek system, collected over 500 toys for underprivileged children in the Davis/Woodland area this past winter 2009. We are confident next year this toy drive will prove even more successful.

The International Fraternity of Delta Chi is raising 200 billion dollars for the V Foundation and Davis Delta Chi will do its part in this endeavor. The V Foundation, named in honor of former basketball coach and cancer victim Jim Valvano, was chosen because of its dedication to saving lives by helping to find
a cure for cancer. Because The V Foundation sponsors
research and treatments for all forms of cancer, a disease
with which almost everyone has a personal connection,
a personal relationship will be established with The V
Foundation.
